Liverpool fire a Premier League record 21 first-half shots against Wolves

Reds sign off Klopp era with victory over Wolves

Salah and Van Dijk goals not enough to hand departing boss title glory

Liverpool attempted a record-breaking 21 shots in the first half of their Premier League match against Wolves, surpassing the previous record of 20 set by Manchester City against West Bromwich Albion in March 2015.

Despite their dominance, the Reds were held to a 3-1 victory, with goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah securing the win.

The victory was Jurgen Klopp's final game in charge of Liverpool, as he steps down after seven successful years at the helm.

Klopp's legacy at Liverpool is one of success, having won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time in charge.

He leaves the club as one of their most successful managers, and will be fondly remembered by fans for his passion, charisma and commitment to attacking football.
